Strange Story:Couple Sues Jessica Simpson Over Baby Pic

A Louisiana couple is suing Jessica Simpson for cashing in on their baby — by pretending he was hers. Umm, what? Yeah, we all know that Jess already has her own tyke, named Maxwell, and another on the way. So why would she need a strange couple’s baby? Conspiracy theorists, gather round!

The couple’s lawsuit says they were at a department store in Metairie and were given the chance to meet Simpson, who was promoting her clothing line. Someone suggested that the couple’s baby son pose with Simpson, which he did. The couple were then shocked that the picture ended up on the cover of OK! Magazine with a headline suggesting that the baby was Jessica’s.

Since Jess was still pregnant at the time, you’d have to be a dolt to think the baby was hers, but hey. Not everyone can put two and two together. The couple believe that Jessica plotted to get a baby in her grip so she could sell it to a magazine as her own and get money for an exclusive photo of her new baby. Wow, imagine if the mag fell for that? Could they not see that Jess still had her baby bump?

The couple is reportedly suing for $75,000. They say that Jessica’s phot op with their baby caused them “emotional distress.” Ahh, the hazards of baby photo ops!

I know when you are famous, lawsuits just go with the territory. But one recently filed against Jessica Simpson is more bizarre than most. In one hand OK Magazine wrote the story (above )without her co-operation and put forth as an “exclusive” about an event that yet to happen ( Maxwell is born on May 1st,2012) , in another hand Jessica is hit with the lawsuit due to this fraudulent article which she has no control over. HOW BIZARRE !!! Below is an articled   dated 04/05/2012  where Gossip Cop called that  OK’s piece as “bait-and-switch”.

Has Jessica Simpson Given Birth?

Jessica Simpson has given birth, the new OK! magazine cover implies.

The tabloid, which has a long and not-so-proud history of putting bogus Simpson stories on its cover, goes into full-on bait-and-switch mode this week, plastering the words “My First Days As a New Mom” over a photo of the (still-expectant) star.

OK! promises “exclusive details” and claims, “The star opens up about her beautiful girl.”

Except, um, the “beautiful girl” has not been born.

As for the article itself, the magazine writes that Simpson “has longed for a baby her whole life — and now that blessed event is finally here!”

Uh, if by “blessed event” OK! means pregnancy, the tab is about eight months late.

And if the tabloid means birth, it’s still weeks early.

Most of the cover “story” amounts to rehashed, generic quotes about Simpson’s excitement about becoming a mother, plus some unsubstantiated speculation about her “dream nursery” and post-pregnancy fitness plans.

There’s nothing “exclusive” or newsworthy — just a completely shameless cover image.

Had Simpson actually gone into labor before the magazine hit newsstands, OK! would look like insiders.

Instead, they just look like clowns.
